When my girls were young, we did not allow a lot of tv. We spent our time being a family. We worked and played together, and spent time talking about what was going on in our daily lives. It really made us closer. But, more importantly, they were able to learn things that children today are not learning. There is just so much that children need to know. We are failing them by not teaching them the basics of how to live and survive. I think that constantly watching television and playing video games will make idiots out of our young. (and our old).
